Roman Massi's two-point conversion run following Jay Smith's 24-yard touchdown reception in the second overtime period proved to be the margin of victory for Haddon Heights on Saturday, ending a 57-56 marathon Colonial Conference shootout at Haddon Township.

Township (2-1) forced the overtime when Brandon Hopkins scored on a 4-yard run and sophomore Clayton Pfettscher added the conversion kick late in the fourth quarter for a 42-42 tie.

R.J. McCullough, who had four TD catches in the game, put the Hawks ahead briefly in the first OT before Heights answered with Conor Beckas' 11-yard scoring pass to Smith.

Kurtis Straubmuller hit McCullough again with a 34-yard scoring pass as Township took a 56-49 lead, setting the stage for Beckas' pass to Smith and Massi's clinching conversion run.

Heights led by 28-14 in the third quarter, but the Hawks rallied with Straubmuller's sneak for a touchdown and two TD passes to McCulough.

Straubmuller completed 11 of 30 for 239 yards and four touchdowns. McCullough had nine catches for 199 yards and four scores, while Hopkins rushed for 149 yards on 23 carries.
